We ordinary folk have to wait until june17 for the gold build of iPhone OS 3.0, but it is already available for developers. This is a promising sign that the apps available from the Apple iTunes App Store will take advantage of the new features that iPhone OS 3.0 software has to offer.

Engadget have been having a play with the latest version, and they have noticed a few changes from the beta 5 version. The changes that they mention are not huge, but at least there are some. The most important change is that iTunes are now offering us movie, music video and TV and downloads direct from your iPhone.
There is also a change with the navigation bar in the App Store, this has been done to make room for the More” button, this can be found in the Top 25 and Redeem links. MMS configurability is still nowhere to be seen; hopefully this will be shown once AT&T flicks the switch when the iPhone OS 3.0 software goes live on June 17.
