Apple promised some time back that they would open their doors early for the release of the iPhone 3G S on Friday June 19 2009. Apple has since announced that its stores will open at 7am, so that is when the release time of the much-anticipated handset will be.
The reason that Apple has decided to open its doors early is because AT&T decided to open their doors at 7.a.m, so Apple did not want to be outdone. Apple is doing things different though, unlike AT&T, Apple will also allow customers to purchase the new iPhone 3G S on the spot, and not just for those who have pre-ordered.
AppleInsider also reports that all Apple Stores in all countries will open their doors at 7.a.m, meaning that some countries will get their hands on the new iPhone before the U.S. I am sure that American’s will not be pleased knowing that just as they are going to sleep, there are those in other countries with their dirty sticky fingers all over the new iPhone 3G S.
