RIM BlackBerry phones to get WordPress App

Users of BlackBerry handsets have been feeling a little left out when it comes to using WordPress on their RIM handsets, but now it looks as though these phones will be getting a WordPress App. This certainly is great news, something that has been a long time coming.

Details are very slim at the moment, but IntoMobile assumes that the functions will be much the same as the app that is widely used on the Apple iPhone. BlackBerry users have been able to use an add-on that provides a mobile-friendly web interface, but this is not a clean dedicated version.

This new official WordPress App for the RIM BlackBerry will now make it possible for users to do live blogging and quick edits. The added advantage that the BlackBerry WordPress App will have over the iPhone version is that these RIM handsets are made for writing.
