If English is not your first language and you really want to learn how to add Dictionary to your Android’s keypoard, than this tutorial is very useful, However, the dictionaries included with the Gingerbread keyboard seem to be somewhat lacking. One of the Android lover on xda development has made a great tool for us to make our The most important thing is probably to ensure that your source is as accurate as possible, but other than that, the process is simple and very well laid out on the reference site.

1. Good source for word list frequency
Good prediction Dictionary relies on word list frequency, as defined by the AOSP

So, you need a source from which you can extract how often different words appear. After some thinking, googling, trial and error I came to conclusion that for smartphone usage there is no better place than big national forum. That’s what I used, anyway.

2. OpenOffice (and MS Office) dictionary for your language
You can find it here:

You don’t want to have misspelled words in the dictionary, right? So, after creating word list from the source, you’ll want to throw out the words that are not in this list.
Just to be sure that I’ll keep all the ‘good’ words in the list I also ran MS Office Spelling procedure trough it. Will explain it later on.

3. Tools – GNU Utilities, MS Office, Ultraedit, Wget (HTTrack)…
There are no more powerful tools for stream editing than Unix tools. Period.
At first I tried to do something without it and when I learned a bit about them, realized how great these are for task like this. Get them here:

Windows comes with it’s own ‘sort’ command but you’ll want to use the one from GNU utilities, so put it in the directory where you start your commands from.
You’ll need to download that forum that I mentioned earlier somehow. I used wget:

It was pretty slow (took like two days to mirror part of the forum with posts). When I was near the end with the download I learned about HTTrack:

I tried it out shortly and it seems a lot faster (can do multiple connections!)

4. Makedict

Mac users can either save the image to a folder or add it to their iPhoto library.

PC users will want to save the wallpaper into their My Pictures folder.

You can then sync the iPhone with photos in iPhoto 4.0.3 or later on a Mac, or Photoshop Album 2.0 or later or Photoshop Elements 3.0 or later on a PC. Or you can sync with any folder on your computer that contains images. Connect the iPhone to your computer and do the following:

1. Launch iTunes then click the Photos tab and select sync photos from pop-up menu.

2. From the pop-up menu, do one of the following:
If you using a Mac, choose iPhoto or your Pictures folder.
If you using a PC, choose Photoshop Album, Photoshop Elements, or your My Pictures folder.

3. Choose Folder, then choose any folder on your computer that has images.

4. Choose all photos or choose selected folders or selected albums and choose the folders or albums you want to sync.

Finally on your iPhone:

1. Go to the Photos section of your camera. Browse through the albums or camera roll until you find the picture you wish to use.

2. Select the picture so it is displayed full screen.

3. Tap the icon in the lower left corner of the screen. If you don’t see the icon, single tap the picture to display the menus

4. Here you can select if you want to email the picture, save the picture as a wallpaper, or assign to a contact.

5. If you want to assign to a contact, press that button. The contact list will open and you can select the

contact you wish to link to the picture.

6. Select Done to complete the process.

How To Unlock iPhone 4

The credit for this unlock solution for iPhone 4 goes to iPhone Dev Team. Without engaging you in more details, I’d guide you through 10 steps to unlock your iPhone 4. It shouldn’t take you more than 5 minutes.

Note: This guide is for iPhone 4 running iOS 3.1.3 to 4.0. If you are running iOS version later than 4.0. This guide is not recommended for you.
Let’s start:

1. Connect your iPhone 4 to a wi-fi network. No 3G please.
2. Open the Safari browser on your iPhone 4.
3. Go to Jailbreakme.com and jailbreak your iPhone 4. Make sure you have the iPhone firmware 3.1.3 to 4.0. No less than 3.1.3, no 4.x.
4. Now go to Settings>General>Network and turn off 3G. That’s why I asked to used a wi-fi connections in the first step.
5. Now that you have jailbroken, you have ‘cydia’ installed on your iPhone 4. Press the home button and find ‘cydia’ in your apps in the springboard.
6. In cydia go to search and type ‘ultrasn0w‘. If you are presented with version 1.0.1 or higher skip to step 10 below. If the ultrasn0w version is less than 1.0.1, follow all the steps below.
7. You can’t unlock your iPhone 4 with an ultrasn0w version less than 1.0.1. You’d then need to bring over 1.0.1. For that purpose, press the ‘Manage‘ button at the bottom, select Sources>Edit>add. Then type ‘repo666.ultrasn0w.com’ in the text field without qouts.
8. Reboot your iPhone 4.
9. Go to cydia again, search for ultrasn0w. It must be on version 1.0.1 or higher now.
10. Now press the install button to install ultrasn0w.
11. Your iPhone 4 is now unlocked! Cheers!

T-Mobile USA users please disable 3G network first.
Settings >General >Network and turn the “Enable 3G” switch to OFF.

Assuming that your iPhone 4 is already jailbroken:

Open the Cydia.
Go to manage Tab at bottom.
Hit the big Sources button.

Hit the Edit button on Top-Right
Then Hit the Add button on Top-Left
Then Enter the following URL: http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com and hit the Add Source button.

Once the Source is added to the Cydia, hit the big return to Cydia button at bottom of the screen and then Done button.
Go to Search tab and search for ultrasn0w and install it.

Installing UltraSn0w will unlock iPhone 4 iOS 4.0.1, 4.0 with baseband 01.59.00. Once the installation is completed, reboot your iPhone 4.
Voila! You have unlocked iPhone 4 baseband 01.59.00 with UltraSn0w 1.0-1 and can use SIM from any carrier now.

Honestly I can say I am a geek when it comes to technology. I love the latest inventions of anything that is electronic. Whether it is the iPhone, Blackberry or some new laptop that innovates the industry, I love to try it out.

However as a business owner it is more than just having the latest tech items. You must be able to use those items so that the return on your investment for that item is warranted. In other words, you wouldn`t spend five thousand dollars on a computer if it did not in some way make your business run smoother, faster and/or more efficient. That would make it a waste of money.

In this article, with the help of the Counselors to America`s small businesses, or better known as S.C.O.R.E, I want to give you 5 helpful tips for when you implement technology into your business.

Plan, plan, plan. This is true in area of life, and especially true when you are integrating technology into a business. You must have a plan. Just like you would have a business plan or marketing plan, you should also have a technology plan. This plan should outline what kind of technology you are going to implement, its purpose, cost, a strategy as to when you will upgrade it, who will maintain it and so on. Your technology plan, like all other plans, should fully detail the who, what, when, where, and why questions.

Design your goals. In the design of your plan make sure you outline the goals you want this new technology to achieve. For our business we implemented the latest version of the MySQL database. Our goal was to use the new version for faster response time and a more efficient means of the database design. Your design of your plan must end up with you reaching the goal for its intended purpose.

Investment. As SCORE puts it, you want to think of technology as investment into your business. The technology you implement should help your business run more efficient, faster, more cost affective and so on. A friend of mine runs a home repair business. Recently he purchased a customer tracking and invoicing piece of software. His plan was to make sure he could track all of his customers, their needs, and subsequent invoices for jobs with a few mouse clicks or little typing. That piece of software helped speed up the tedious task of office work which was dragging him down. Therefore his investment into that software was worth it.

Solve those problems. You can start by defining what problems your company or business faces. Then define how technology will help solve those problems. In our example above, the problem was the amount of time wasted by organizing paperwork, doing invoices by hand and so on. The new software implemented, solved that problem.

Seek the experts. Last but certainly not least, however last for a reason, seek the advice of technology experts. Although you may love the new tech gadgets, software and devices, you may not have all the answers to your needs. If you know what your problems are, but aren`t sure how to solve them with technology, talk to someone in the technology field who is an expert. You can always look in the yellow pages for computer and software professionals. You may not know that a piece of software exists for what you need, but they sure do. Just keep in mind, as with all partnering, and that is basically what you are doing here, good partners will accelerate success, while bad ones will accelerate failure. Do your homework on the expert. Make sure they do have the experience of what they are talking about and have your best interest at heart and not their own.
