1. Right-click or control-click on the image you want to use.
2. Select “Save as…” and save the image to your hard drive.
   • Mac users can either save the image to a folder or add it to their iPhoto library.
   • PC users will want to save the wallpaper into their “My Pictures” folder.

You can then sync the iPhone with photos in iPhoto 4.0.3 or later on a Mac, or Photoshop Album 2.0 or later or Photoshop Elements 3.0 or later on a PC. Or you can sync with any folder on your computer that contains images. Connect the iPhone to your computer and do the following:

1. Launch iTunes then click the Photos tab and select “Sync photos from:”
2. From the pop-up menu, do one of the following:
   • If your using a Mac, choose iPhoto or your Pictures folder.
   • If you’re using a PC, choose Photoshop Album, Photoshop Elements, or your My Pictures folder.
3. Choose Folder, then choose any folder on your computer that has images.
4. Choose “All photos,” or choose “Selected folders” or “Selected albums” and choose the folders or albums you want to sync.

Finally on your iPhone:

1. Goto the Photos section of your camera. Browse through the albums or camera roll until you find the picture you wish to use.
2. Select the picture so it is displayed full screen.
3. Tap the icon in the lower left corner of the screen. If you don’t see the icon, single tap the picture to display the menus.

4. Here you can select if you want to email the picture, save the picture as a wallpaper, or assign to a contact.

5. If you want to assign to a contact, press that button. The contact list will open and you can select the contact you wish to link to the picture. 6. Select Done to complete the process. The homing pigeon is a variety of domesticated Rock Pigeon (Columba livia domestica) that has been selectively bred to be able to find its way home over extremely long distances. The wild rock pigeon has an innate homing ability,[2] meaning that it will generally return to its own nest and its own mate. This made it relatively easy to breed from the birds that repeatedly found their way home over long distances. Flights as long as 1800 kilometers have been recorded by birds in competition pigeon racing.

Boys and girls

Girls study under a tree at Toto school. Boys study in the morning, girls in the afternoon. Boys can attend up to class nine, but for girls it’s only until sixth grade.

Today in Afghanistan there remain many barriers to female education, including entrenched social opposition, lack of educational institutions and extreme poverty. Christian Aid is working with local Afghan organisations to challenge stereotypes and help families escape poverty, giving girls and women an opportunity for an education, and a better chance in life

3.     ‘I want to be educated’

Zarmina, 8, lives in the remote Sherzad district, south-west of the eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad. Sherzad is not far from the Tora Bora cave complex near the Pakistan border.

“I travel every day for an hour from my village to school. I am in class one and I can write my name. I have made a lot of friends.

“However, we can’t study most days because it’s rainy or windy. I want to be an educated Afghan girl.”

4. After long walk they arrive  at their school

These boys walk to Kodi Khel village from a nearby mountain. They say they walk in a group and rest on the way every day. They cross rivers and mountainous valleys before they arrive at Sherzad high school.

5.      I wish I could go to school’

Most people in Sherzad district are poor and rely on agriculture. Until last year farmers grew poppies.

Bas Babu, 14, is a shepherd from the Kuchi nomadic tribe.

“I wish I could go to school. Most of the boys walk with us for hours every day, but if you are a Kuchi, you are expected to take the sheep and goats out, not to study.

“If I were educated, I could do some good work but would also have an easy life.”
